In 2016 Raw Energy developed, financed, constructed and operated a 2.9MW portfolio of biomass boilers installed in third party commercial buildings in five locations. The boilers generate a stable 20 year index linked income stream from the UK government Renewable Heating Incentive (RHI) scheme.
This portfolio was then sold to a European fund with a return to investors of 1.6x. Following this work Raw Energy managed the sale of another tranche of schemes on behalf of other projects developers, and in the financial year 2017-18 Raw Energy completed the sale or refinance of biomass projects with total transaction values of over £6m.
Raw Energy is an industry leader in the remedy of technical, contractual and operational issues on all renewable technologies prior to a sale and have strong relationships with funders looking to aggregate assets.
